The Phlebotomy course is a comprehensive program designed to train students in various techniques to perform phlebotomy procedures. A graduated phlebotomist will be able to collect blood for laboratory analysis which is necessary for the diagnosis and care of a patient. Upon successful completion of the Phlebotomy course through our institution, the student will receive a Certificate of Completion. Before taking a National Registry Exam, students must perform 30 successful venipunctures and 10 capillary sticks under the supervision of a CPT or higher. Once these requirements are satisfied, the students will be eligible to challenge the National Registry Examination to become a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT).
